4 Hours / 3 Sessions
As marketing and tech chair during my time on Taiwanese American Professionals – Boston, I was tasked with making the marketing material to host our chapter’s first national convention.
I wanted to reflect the TAP-Boston brand that I’ve really been building ever since jumping on as Tech/Marketing Chair – something clean and minimalistic yet classy. I really wanted to avoid using that slash when I first started as I felt it’s very overused with other similar logos. A quick poll with the board after the second session showed an overwhelming positive reaction to the slash, so decided to go with it.
The font I’ve used is Arquitecta, lots of good logo potential. Someone pointed out it reminded them of UBER’s old logo, but that is likely the color scheme more than anything.
The final output is in a square instead of a rectangle, I feel like it would show really nicely as branding on merchandise. Overall pretty happy with how this came out, I was pretty fast with the overall process so I’m glad I didn’t fall into some sort of designer’s block.
